President and CEO
In May 2007, Joel Assaraf took over the role of President and CEO of TherMark Holdings, Inc., moving into the key leadership position after serving as President and Chief Operating Officer, an appointment he received in December 2006. Assaraf joined TherMark in May 2006 as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing and was responsible for driving the global marketing and sales efforts for the company. Assaraf brings more than two decades of executive experience in the packaged goods and manufacturing industries.
Before joining TherMark, he was Chief Financial Officer with PAC, a contract packager of personal care products for companies such as Procter and Gamble, Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, and Neutrogena. Assaraf was instrumental in PAC’s turnaround, helping to increase enterprise value by $15 million during a two-year period. Before that, he held the position of Corporate Executive Vice President of OK International, a manufacturer and marketer of rework equipment and consumable supplies to the electronics industry, and President of Metcal, the company’s largest operating unit. As part of OK International, Assaraf significantly increased sales and operating income for the company, playing an instrumental role in the eventual sale of the business to Dover Corporation.
Prior to OK International, Assaraf was part of a turnaround team to shore-up sagging profits at Chemtronics, a leading manufacturer of superior performing specialty chemical and swab/wipe products used in electronics and electrical service, repair and manufacturing,. Under his direction there, sales and net income significantly increased, eventually leading to a successful sale of the company to industrial conglomerate Illinois Tools Works (ITW). Assaraf began his outstanding career in the chemical and paper manufacturing industry with positions in sales, marketing, product development and management at The Dow Chemical Company, Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Scott Paper Company. In addition, Assaraf held several interim executive positions with Siemens Electronic Assembly Systems and PolyVision Corporation.
Assaraf is a graduate of Duke University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and holds a master’s degree in Finance from Georgia State University.

Director of Sales and Marketing
Howard Rupprecht joined TherMark in March 2007 as Director of Sales and Marketing. Rupprecht came from Valor Computerized Systems where he was Director of Marketing, North America, for this publicly-traded software supplier of integrated manufacturing execution systems for the global electronics industry. Prior to Valor, he was with OK International, a $100 million manufacturer and seller of consumables and capital equipment to the electronics assembly industry, where he served as Vice President of Marketing.
Rupprecht has more than 20 years of experience within the electronics manufacturing industry, from being involved with process development to specifying capital equipment and supplying consumables to the industry. He has held a range of positions including those of production engineer, regional sales manager (United Kingdom), business development manager (Europe) and global product marketing manager. In addition, Rupprecht has successfully worked with and managed both direct and manufacturers’ representative sales organizations during his career.
A native of the United Kingdom, Rupprecht holds degrees in mechanical and production engineering from Matthew Boulton College and in business administration from Colorado Technical University.

Business Operations Manager
Dave Labowitz joined TherMark in June 2006 to take charge of business operations and company infrastructure. He is responsible for customer service and care, technical support, product distribution, inventory management and control, human resources, and information systems.
Before joining TherMark, Dave worked as an associate at Momentum Venture Management, where he consulted with several of their other early stage businesses. He was integral in shaping company strategies, building financial models, performing market research, and preparing board presentations.
Prior to Momentum, Dave spent three years working as a database administrator and systems engineer for @Risk, Inc., a predictive modeling company based in Berwyn, PA. While there he focused on operational improvements that resulted in @Risk’s average project time being cut in half.
Dave is a graduate of Washington College with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.
